I graduated from Garnett High School in 1972.

Graduated from Emporia State University in 1976.

I have degrees in Secondary Special Education and Psychology and Early Childhood Special Education.

I taught Jr. and Sr. High Sped for 7 years, then went back to school to get my Early Childhood Degree when my own children were small. I have been at Silver Lake for 25 years, the entire time in Early Childhood Special Education and I still love it.

I am happily unmarried. I have 2 grown children, Sarah who is 34 and lives in Philadelphia with her husband and 1 year old daughter, Eleanor Grace. My son Joe is 32 and lives in Topeka. He has 3 children, Jacob, 14, Justin, 9, and Bailey, 1yr.

I have a dear little Yorkie that I adopted named Dakota. He is great company.
